Profitable Productivity with Evernote
Aug 29, 2022
When running a small business there's being busy and there's being profitably productive. If you want to be profitably productive and not just busy, you need certain tools. Not the widely promoted CRMs. Tools for creating content, managing your calendar, ensuring deadlines and goals are met, maintaining your inbox, and more. And the ability to find what you need quickly and at times to share a document with someone.
Recently, I was reminded by friend and colleague Dr. Steven Greene of one that I already had been using off and on for many years. When I asked him on my podcast, Make It Click! what was something that made it click in his business...his response was Evernote.
Now, Evernote is not an app that is widely promoted. At least in my circles.
Evernote is a note-taking and task management application that's been around since 2007.
It's not for any specific industry and many users manage both personal and business activities with it.
I started thinking that I needed to know more about Evernote other than an occasional list or note.
As I went through the certification course, the capabilities of the app amazed me and it's quickly becoming my operations hub. Do you have an operations hub?
Here are a few things it can do for you beginning at the Personal level.
- connecting your Google calendar
- add due dates
- reminders
- add notifications to tasks
- manage these tasks in one place
- create custom note templates
- attach notes to events in your calendar
- add links in a note to files stored on other platforms
- take notes directly in Evernote
- upload files
- sync unlimited devices
Now, if you're like me and you prefer to take notes, journal, and write articles with paper and pen then a smart notebook such as Rocketbook is the answer. A smart notebook enables you to write and sync with Evernote. Rocketbook also transcribes your work into an editable note where you can add tasks, reminders, images, and more.
When it comes to profitable productivity, Evernote reduces the time it takes to jump from one app to another.
